Citroen 2 CV Sahara 1961 – SPRZEDANY

Citroen 2 CV Sahara to samochód niezwykle rzadki i konstrukcyjnie niebanalny. Dysponował napędem na obie osie, choć zamiast skomplikowanego układu przeniesienia napędu, zastosowanu tu po prostu dwa silniki. Każdy posiadał własną skrzynię biegów i zbiornik paliwa, choć sterowane były jedną przepustnicą i jedną dźwignią zmimany biegów. Sumaryczna moc silników wynosiła 24 KM, co w połączeniu z wysokim prześwietem i niezwykle miękkim zawieszeniem uczyniło z Sahary niezwykle praktyczną maszynę.

– 11,367 km since new
– Original design, an iconic car
– In the same family since new

The 2CV Sahara we are offering is exceptional in its condition and history, and therefore is one of the most desirable Saharas among the few survivors. Moreover, the total production of this model was less than 700 examples.
It was bought new by the grandfather of the current owner, a veterinarian in the South of France, who wanted to have a car capable of travelling up the inaccessible mountain sites. In order to transport medicines and equipment, he got a trailer hitch with brake assist made, but he only used the car for a few years. It was then transferred to his son, who very rarely drove the car. In 1987, he passed the car on to his own son, a car and vintage motorcycle enthusiast (who also own a Facel since the 1970s) and who had the two engines overhauled: a label indicates that it was drained carried out at 10,931 km. Though he occasionally participated in local events, his business eventually took precedence, therefore he kept the car in a safe and dry building. This is where we discovered this 2CV Sahara, in an amazing state of conservation. Under a thick layer of dust, the paint appears to be original and correct; inside, the seats are well preserved, without any tear or slackening. The car is very sound and the frame and underframe are very well preserved. The windshield displays thumbnails of 1975 and 1977, and the odometer displays 11,367 km. The brakes will need to be released before the sale and the car will require an intelligent restarting to preserve its magnificent original state. This is a rare model, and truly exceptional in such a state of preservation.
