Jeep Jeepster 1969 – USA – SPRZEDANY

Kaiser Jeep re-introduced one of its most successful vehicles, the Jeepster, in 1967 to supplement its very successful production of medium duty military trucks and to compete with vehicles like Ford’s Bronco and Toyota’s Land Cruiser. Packed with much more character than either the Ford or the Toyota, the classic Jeepster is a fun piece of nostalgia that is almost impossible not to like, and this very clean and original 4-wheel drive 1969 Jeepster Convertible is one of the best original examples around. Under the hood is the desirable Dauntless V-6 engine, a 225 cubic inch, 155 horsepower, 225 lb/ft torque powerplant ideally suited to the Jeepster’s light weight, and mated to it is a Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission. It is lavishly equipped with a Continental kit with spare tire, air conditioning, AM radio and a gorgeous white cloth convertible top. The bottom of the body is finished in a correct turquoise with white on top, while the fiberglass bodywork on the tail features thin chrome strips, almost giving the appearance of a boat deck. It rides on whitewall tires surrounding wheel covers, and overall the vehicle has an appealing, festive appearance. A supremely maintained original with an odometer showing just over 20,000 miles, it is more than ready to be enjoyed to the fullest. It also includes the original owner’s manual, warranty book, and receipts dating back to the 1980s. Updated styling continued the Jeepster’s association with the CJ-series and production continued through 1973 in very small numbers, making this one of the rarer and more unusual vehicles built by an American manufacturer.
