The Savoy models starred in many films. The presumably most famous appearance was in John Carpenter’s film “Christine“ – as the diabolic Plymouth Fury. However, the car offered here is a star itself: It is a real police car that was out on patrol in the 1960s. Exciting features such as the fully functioning siren have been preserved and make this Plymouth a real attraction. In order to be prepared for car chases, the engine output had been adapted. In short: It seems that this exciting car is the most exciting Savoy available today.

Plymouth Savoy
Plymouth used the name Savoy – derived from famous luxury hotels, just as the model names Plaza and Belvedere – for several models. Between 1951 and 1953 a station wagon was also made with this name, however, it was a variant of the Suburban. The name Savoy was mostly spread by models from large Plymouth series from the years between 1955 and 1961. Eventually the name appeared again from 1962 to 1964, before it was finally suspended in the model year 1964.
