BMW M 635 CSi
Within the type series E 24 the BMW M 635 CSi definitely is the top model. The sports version 635 Csi was made as of April 1985. It was designed by the BMW Motorsport Gmbh. The engine came from the BMW M1 series, however, with an over-worked four valve technology, two overhead camshafts and six individual throttle valves. Equipped with a multi-disc limited slip differential with 25% torque bias ration and a boosted six-speed gearbox it has ca. 286 hp. Additional features of the 'M’ version in comparison with the standard model are a lowered chassis, gas-filled shock absorbers, reinforced stabilizers, stronger breaks as well as bucket seats and spoilers. The maximum speed specified was 255 km/h. Acclaimed artists like Ernst Fuchs or Robert Rauschenberg designed versions of the car for BMW Art Cars.
