Jaguar XJ-S 1977 – SPRZEDANY

Rzadko która marka ma tak piękne tradycje wyścigowe jak Jaguar. Pierwszy silnik V-12 tej brytyjskiej firmy powstał w latach 50-tych, aby zdobyć tytuł w Le Mans. Choć w seryjnej produkcji układ ten zawitał ponownie dopiero 27 lat później, zamieszczenie go w samochodzie wyścigowym prowadzi do naturalnego zachwytu. Ten Jaguar XJ-S został przebudowany do sportu w 1994 roku. Wyróżniają go nie tylko agresywne poszerzenia i szerokie felgi, lecz również dopracowana mechanika, której sercem jest wyścigowy dwunastocylindrowiec osiągający 395 KM i 450 NM.

This is what we call an impressive racecar. With its menacing front, wide wheelarches and ditto wheels it shows already speed without moving. It started life as a standard 1977 Jaguar XJ-S with V12 engine. In 1994, a German chief engineer working for Pirelli obtained the car and decided to convert it in a full racecar. The body received big wheelarches to allow 10×15″ wheels, and a full bodykit improved the aerodynamics and cooling of the car. The engine is a 5,3 Litre Jaguar V12 race-engine, supplied by Jaguar specialist Zwakman in Holland. With 6 Weber carburettors, it offers 395 bhp and an even more impressive torque of 450 Nm. Thanks to a total weight of only 1480 kg, this is a massively fast device. As an example, it laps Spa-Francorchamps in a time under 3 minutes, which is quite fast for an historic racecar. The gearbox is a Getrag 5-speed, and also a Quaife LSD is fitted. Together with the Jaguar comes a file with lots of photographs made during the build.

For eligibility, this XJ-S has a German DMSB Wagenpass and a Belgian RACB Sport HTP. It will also be accepted in the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club Racing championship, where it will be a serious contender and possibly class winner in the XJ-S series. And even if it is not used in racing championships, it will definitely be an extraordinary trackday tool.

Due to a lack of time, the actual owner decided to offer it for sale, as this V12 engined monster is definitely too good and well build for not being used. It is now available at a fraction of the build cost, and waiting at our premises for a brave new owner who is ready to tame it…
