Porsche 959 1988 – Niemcy

Samochody będzie można oglądać przed aukcją w Hamburgu, a licytować – sprzed własnego komputera, składając ofertę on-line.

The Porsche 959 on basis of the Porsche 911 was introduced as the most famous development by the Porsche AG at the IAA in 1983.
It had prototype character at Porsche and, with its air-cooled six cylinder boxer engine with double-turbocharge and four-wheel drive, it had everything technically possible in those days.
The 6 cylinder boxer engine of the 959 had a sequential charger with two parallel water-cooled KKK turbochargers and intercooler.
Two camshafts with four valves per cylinder are active on each side of the cylinder.
The cylinder’s are air-cooled, the cylinder heads are water-cooled.
The 959 was the “Super-Porsche“ of its days and was completely sold out even before its official market release.
When the first cars were delivered, collectors were willing to pay a price of more than 1 million DM.
Even though the 959 is 30 years old, it has not lost any of its fascination and still is a sought-after collectible.

The model offered here is in a remarkably good condition.
It was first registered by its first owner on 16 February, 1988 and was taken out of service on 16 May, 1989 with a mileage of only 8,000 km.
From then on it was well-kept in the 'Automuseum Albert Streicher'.
In 2004 the 959 was bought by its current owner with a mileage of 8,005 km and found its place in a private collection.
Apart from the original first motor vehicle registration certificate, the car comes with all documents and accessory parts handed out upon delivery.
Next to the original handbook with manual, car pass and service book, it comprises a folder with press information and the complete set of tools with compressor in the original three leather bags.
